Model Based Test Generation: A Case Study
Aiming at improving software quality, as well as reducing the costs of testing process, we developed TaRGeT, a Model-Based Testing (MBT) tool that automatically generates test cases from use case scenarios written in natural language. In this paper we present TaRGeT and show quantitative and qualitative results of the tool's usage in two case studies inside Motorola Brazil Test Center (BTC).
متن کاملAutomatic Test Generation for Space
The European Space Agency (ESA) uses an engine to perform tests in the Ground Segment infrastructure, specially the Operational Simulator. This engine uses many different tools to ensure the development of regression testing infrastructure and these tests perform black-box testing to the C++ simulator implementation. VST (VisionSpace Technologies) is one of the companies that provides these ser...
متن کاملCoverage Based Test-Case Generation Using Model Checkers
This paper presetits a method for automatically generating test cases to structural coverage criteria. We show how a niodel checker can be used to autoniutically generate complete test sequetices that will provide a predefined coverage of uti? soffivare developnietit artifact that can be represented as a ffiriitr state niodel. Our goal is to help reduce the high cost of developitig test cases f...
متن کاملA Model for Test Case Design and Generation
New test design techniques should result in better coverage of the input domain and more efficient test cases. In this paper we propose a software-testing model for generating efficient test cases based on the special properties of Design of Experiments (DOE) and Logistic Regression. This model allows the software tester to design and generate efficient test sets. Also the proposed model provid...
متن کاملA Case for Test-Code Generation in Model-Driven Systems
A primary goal of generative programming and model-driven development is to raise the level of abstraction at which designers and developers interact with the software systems they are building. During initial development, the benefits of abstraction are clear. However, during testing and maintenance, increased distance from the implementation can be a disadvantage. We view test cases and test ...
